I always enjoy these episodes of Afford Anything as Paula and Joe field questions from listeners. This episode covers questions on early retirement, different investment accounts, mortgages, credit cards and the 4% rule. It runs a wide cross-section of financial topics and the insights from Paula and Joe shed light on lots of great advice. Plus as usual with Joe, there are some laughs along the way.

Another Canadian! And this time it’s the talented and cordial Dan Bortolotti. Joining him on the Canadian Couch Potato podcast is Ben Carlson, the author of A Wealth Of Common Sense. It’s a great discussion on the challenges individual and institutional investors face, the current financial landscape and lump sum vs. dollar cost average. For Americans that might not be familiar with the Canadian Couch Potato, I highly recommend you check out the blog and past podcast episodes too.

The description that Chris drafted for an episode of Side Hustle School this week really caught my attention: “A college student with a new family to support reads between the lines and turns a $20 used textbook into almost $70,000 within two years”. Woah! I love stories like this and the scale that Marcus, the side hustler, grew this too is really impressive. In two years he’s reached close to $70,000 in total revenue and flipped a total of 5,000 text books.

Even though Brett’s industry is food trucks, all the discussion points between him and Nick can be connected to any niche.
